It was just two weeks ago that the city of Houston and the surrounding communities suffered what is surely one of the most serious natural disasters hit land in the form of Hurricane Harvey. This was truly one of the most devastating things to happen with resulting flooding, power outages, and loss of property. But, we here at Philpott Hyundai in Nederland, TX know that the people in Houston, Nederland, and the surrounding areas will rebuild and be stronger than ever.
We are incredibly proud of the resiliency and courage that everyone in the state of Texas has shown over the last few weeks. Additionally we are proud to be a part of the Sonic Automotive Group who have shown an incredible amount of care during this tough time. Our executive vice president Jeff Dyke and a group of Sonic employees all made the 250-mile drive from San Antonio with a boat, food, clothing, and other necessities to help out many of the Sonic Automotive Group employees. But, they are not only helping employees with events like the supply drive at Audi Central Houston which collected supplies for community members all over.
We have never been more amazed with the efforts of our various staff members and members of the community who have been working to help people get their lives back together. We hope to see everyone safe again soon!
