As you may have read in one of our previous posts, the highly anticipated Ioniq Electric will offer about 110-miles of pure electric range per charge. While this is enough to compete with the likes of the Chevrolet Volt, Toyota Prius Prime and Audi A3 Sportback e-tron, where does is stand against the upcoming release of the Chevrolet Bolt and Tesla 3?

The answer is Hyundai, of course. The South Korean automaker recently announced it would be adding three electrified variants atop a single platform to its 2017 lineup, which will include a hybrid, an EV and a plug-in. The Ioniq is the first in the world to offer three electrified powertrains on one dedicated platform.
