Many people don't know this, but all 50 states have a law for the road colloquially known as the Move Over Law. It states that all drivers need to move over or slow down by at least 15mph when passing an emergency vehicle, roadside crew, or a vehicle that has been pulled over by an officer. If you can't move over safely, you need to slow down.
We here at Philpott Hyundai want to remind you to be a courteous driver and a safe driver by obeying the Move Over Law. It is not merrily a suggestion but serves as a law, and for good reasons. People are killed every year by cars on the highway, and many of these avoidable deaths can be prevented if the Move Over Law is obeyed. These people have families and loved ones and really should not have died. Do your part and prevent highway fatalities and fines by just moving over or slowing down.
