At the Chicago Auto Show this week, the Hyundai brand decided to spice things up with the debut of their 2016 Veloster Rally Edition. Before we delve into all of the exciting details, take a peek at the model in the clip below from the Windy City!
This flashy unit will feature a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine, which generates 138 horsepower and 123 lb.-ft. of torque. The Turbo trim of the car kicks things up a notch with a 201 horsepower 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that is mated to a seven-speed transmission.
Handling on the Veloster Turbo is a dream thanks to its Electronic Stability Control, which features Torque Vectoring Control alongside of new sensors and algorithms, which give the model biter cornering accuracy.
Only 1,200 Rally Editions will be built and will come in a matte blue paintjob. Look for the Veloster Turbo to join the new Hyundai lineup in May, and don't forget to stay tuned to the Philpott Hyundai blog for the latest auto news.
